Tartine

The sister visited this past weekend, which meant that me and my tummy would be very happy because  when the sun sisters reunite, copious amounts of food tend to be involved. One of the places we tried was Tartine, a cute bakery and restaurant that offers a variety of baked goods and sandwiches. One of their best known menu items is the banana pie tart, which one customer raved was "the only thing I dream about." In addition to the proclamation-worthy banana tart, we also tried the morning bun (reminiscent of Berkeley meal point days but so much better) and to balance out all the sugar (and to convince ourselves we were actually eating a meal) we ordered a croque monsieur as well.
